I think today we thought it was more fun to just splash, play and use the marsh mud for face paint.  4H was all about plankton, and the marsh.  We learned that there are 2 different kind of plankton phytoplankton – plant life that are drifters and produce 75% of the world oxygen. How do Unschoolers learn about science ecology at the beach? Why the majority of “normal” kids went to boring school we went to the BEACH and took a class with the local 4H. Surfen waves becoming surf sleuth investing the waves

Today we went to Burton 4h on Tybee Island and became surf sleuther’s. A surf sleuth is a person who investigates the surf to see what animals my be living in it. We did this by using a large net, 10-15 kids walking out in the water and scooping up what in the water.  The kids had a blast playing on the beach. Friday we met up with the Savannah Home School group and went to Tybee for science.  The 4H gives a science lesson once a month for the kids.  This time we learned about reptiles (snakes, lizards, alligators).
