I love starting the day by asking a question. Today’s Unschool question: What would do if they won a million dollars? Asking a question is always a great way to start the day. It gets the kids thinking and exploring all sorts of ideas, asking even more questions, and gets them thinking. Unschooling is about exploring ideas and learning all the time.

Math and money

After breakfast, we did a little math. McKenzey made another 100 on level 2. Belle had some trouble and got frustrated at the computer. So, I decided that she should take a break and try again another day. Both girls also did Khan academy, which is the best site ever. McKenzey is working on multiplication, which is giving her a run for her money but I think she is getting it.

The girls also watched the 3rd kid biz movie, (we found it at our local library). What can you do with money? We learned that there are four things you can do with your money, save, spend, donate, invest.

If you won a million dollars what would you do with it?

• McKenzey said to try to save a little and spend the rest on a vacation to Hawaii.
• Belle said buy food for Animals, put half money into saving account, rest I would like to go to Disney World and get lots of stuffed animals.
• Michael would retire in Tahiti or Bora Bora.
• I said I would pay off the house and retire Tahiti, and sit on the beach all-day drinking those cute drinks with umbrellas
