The Bird Lady came over today with baby blue birds. The babies were only four to five days old. The girls and a friends each got to hold the babies and examine them.  The bird lady showed the girls their nest and explained how they would be ready to fly within 14-16 days.

The girls were surprised to see that the baby blue birds did not have their eyes open yet and none of the babies had any feathers, were soft and had very pink fuzz was all over their bodies.  We were told that holding babies birds was a myth and the mother would always come back and take care of the babies. For even more research we looked up blue birds on the internet and found a book at the library on birds. It was hilarious and we had a  fun time reading all the little stories “Angry Birds”
