Homeschool Weather with Magic School Bus

How we Homeschool weather with Magic School Bus. If you just started Unschooling or Homeschooling you might be asking how do I teach science. We got monthly kits that the kids were excited about.

Today we did a couple of experiments we got from our monthly magic school bus packet, all about the weather. To start off the girls watched Magic School Bus on their IPads about the rain cycle. We also found some Magic School Bus books at our local library.

Homeschool Weather making a Wind Vane

The girl’s first homeschool weather experiment was to make a wind vane. We had a lot of trouble with this one but we got it to work in the end. I think next time we will buy a better kit from Amazon. Like this one.

The second experiment to put a thermometer in the sun and shade and see what the difference in the two was. This experiment was neat because we got to incorporate math also. The girls got really creative with a light bulb and taking the thermometer in a dark room.

The last homeschool weather experiment for today made a thermometer from 1/2 liter bottle.
